Toto Blanke was a German guitarist born on September 16, 1939, in Paderborn, Germany, and he passed away on October 24, 2013, in Hamburg, Germany. He studied classical guitar and made his professional debut in 1969 with his own trio. Blanke gained fame as a guitarist in the German-Dutch avant-garde/jazz-fusion band. His work as a soloist, group leader, and with his own experimental band was notably varied.
