Trafassi is a Surinamese-Dutch band formed in 1981 by former members of a backing band. Initially starting as a Kaseko-formation, they evolved into an all-around party band, achieving notable success with their hit "Wasmasjien" in 1985. The band is led by Edgar 'Bugru' Burgos, who is the nephew of Lieve Hugo. Based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Trafassi has its roots in Paramaribo, Suriname.
