Trini Lopez was an American singer, guitarist, and actor, born on May 15, 1937, in Dallas, Texas. Initially experiencing little success, he found a steady engagement at the nightclub PJ's, where he caught the attention of a label owner who subsequently signed him. Lopez's career took off with the release of his debut live album in 1963. He passed away on August 11, 2020, in Palm Springs, California.
