Trio Mocotó is a Brazilian band that was originally formed in 1968 at the Jogral nightclub in São Paulo and reformed in 2000. The group played a significant role in the development of samba rock, also known as sambalanço, which is a fusion of samba, soul, and rock. In 1969, they provided backing for various artists and were featured on some of those artists' seminal albums.
