True Reflection is a musical quartet with roots in Washington DC, formed at Sigma Sound Studios in Philadelphia, PA. The group was guided by arrangers Norman Harris, Ronnie Baker, and Vince Montana. Members Glenn Leonard and Joe Blunt had prior experience in the music industry, having both been part of The Chancellors, while Joe Coleman and Bobby Cox did not have notable musical connections before joining True Reflection. The band served as a springboard for their members' careers. Glenn Leonard went on to replace Damon Harris as the first tenor and lead singer of The Temptations from 1975 to 1983, with a notable lead on the single "Power." Joe Blunt joined The Drifters in 1975, gaining popularity in the UK with hits like "You're More Than a Number" and "Hello Happiness," where he featured as lead on several tracks. Joe Coleman later became part of The Persuaders lineup from 1974 to 1975 and subsequently formed the group Mirage, which released an LP titled "Princes of Love" in 1978. In 1972, True Reflection released their debut single "Beer Cans and Empty Hands" b/w "Silent Treatment" (Atco 45-6905), which went largely unnoticed. The following year, they released a long player, working with the same writing and production team responsible for their debut single, which included Bob Currington, T. Lester, W. Lester, R. Brown, and Joe
