Trypes (Greek: Τρύπες), formed in 1983, is a band influenced by the post-punk movement, consisting of Yannis Aggelakas (vocals, lyrics), Giorgos Karras (bass), Michalis Kanatides (guitar), and Kostas Floroskoufis (drums). Babis Papadopoulos replaced Kanatides on guitar in 1984, and in 1986, Yorgos Tolios took over drumming duties from Floroskoufis. The band recorded their debut album, a self-titled release, in 1985 for Ano Kato Records, initially limited to 500 copies. In 1987, they recorded their second album, "Πάρτυ Στο 13ο Όροφο" (Party On The 13th Floor), released by Virgin Greece. Their live performances increased during 1988-1989, including shows with Pavlos Sidiropoulos in Athens. The band's third album, "Τρύπες Στον Παράδεισο" (Holes In Paradise), was released in 1990, marking their first concert outside Greece in Belfort, France.
