T-Spoon is a Dutch Eurodance project that was founded in 1991 by rapper Shalamon Baskin, also known as Shamrock, and co-founder Remy de Groot, known as Prince Peration. The project secured a recording contract with No More Music. According to legend, the name T-Spoon originated when Shamrock, while stirring a cup of tea, expressed a preference for a gold record over a gold teaspoon. This inspired Prince Peration to suggest the name. However, Remy de Groot later clarified that the name actually came from a western TV show featuring a sheriff named Teaspoon.
