Tuesday's Children was formed in 1966 by members who had previously been part of the North London band Steve Douglas and the Challengers, which later changed its name to The Prophets. The Prophets recorded with producer Joe Meek, although none of their work was ever released. After the departure of Steve Douglas and Freddie Fields, the remaining members reformed the band as Tuesday's Children, with Paul Kendrick later joining on bass guitar. The band was active in London from 1966 to 1969.
