Tumulto is an influential Chilean hard rock, heavy rock, classic rock, and early metal band formed in Santiago in 1972. The founding members included Alfonso "Poncho" Vergara on bass and lead vocals, Sergio del Río on guitar, and Rodolfo Irribarra on drums. Over the years, the band has seen various lineup changes, with notable members such as Orlando Aranda (guitar and vocals), Nelson Olguín (drums), Jorge Soto (keyboards), and Mario Millar (lead vocals) during the late 1970s. Robinson Campos played drums from 1982 to 1993, while Jorge Fritz contributed on keyboards from 1984 onwards. The 1990s saw Rudy Ferrada on drums and Mauricio Padilla and Luis Vergara on guitar. Alfonso "Poncho" Vergara remained a constant presence in the band until 2004.
