Turbonegro is a Norwegian rock band known for their unique style, often referred to as "Deathpunk." The band was originally formed around Christmas in 1988 and has been surrounded by scandal and controversy throughout its history. They have experienced multiple breakups, retirements, and changes in membership over the years. The band is also recognized by their aliases, which include Turboneger, TRBNGR, and Stierkampf. They have a dedicated fan club called Turbojugend, where members proudly wear denim jackets featuring the Turbojugend logo and the name of their chapter. Turbonegro has been active in several phases: from 1989 to 1998, again from 2002 to 2010, and currently from 2011 to the present. The current lineup includes Happy-Tom (Thomas Seltzer) on bass, Euroboy (Knut Schreiner) on lead guitar, Rune Rebellion (Rune Grønn) on rhythm guitar, Tommy Manboy (Tommy Akerholdt) on drums, The Duke of Nothing (Anthony Madsen-Sylvester) on vocals, and Crown Prince Haakon-Marius (Haakon-Marius Pettersen) on keyboards.
