**Bio: Turquoise Days** Turquoise Days, hailing from Jersey, Channel Islands, was formed in 1981 by Luciano Brambilla and David Le Breton. The duo self-released numerous cassettes throughout the 1980s, including their acclaimed 7” single "Grey Skies / Blurred." In 1985, they were runners-up in a Radio Luxembourg song contest with their track "Tonight," which saw subsequent re-releases in 2009, 2017, and 2018. Their music is characterized as melodic, emotive cold/minimal wave. David and Luchie met at a nightclub called “Waves,” located on St. Ouens beach, where they bonded over their shared passion for music and decided to form a band, taking their name from an Echo & the Bunnymen song. Initially, they performed only original music, using a Hondo II electric guitar, a cheap bass guitar, and various Casio keyboards, along with a vintage microphone and analogue effects. Over time, they incorporated covers into their sets, including songs by OMD and Joy Division. They played numerous live gigs in Jersey, starting with their instrumental intro “Fragments of glass (hide my eyes),” which featured delayed Russian radio broadcasts and their own light show. Sound engineer Chris Petra later joined as the bass player, contributing to songs like “scattering seeds” and “feed the flame.” The band utilized various synthesizers and equipment, including Roland
