Tutty Moreno, born Emmanuel Alves Moreno on October 30, 1947, in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil, is a renowned drummer and percussionist. He has been a significant figure in Brazilian popular music, contributing from the bossa nova era to the jazz-influenced fusion of the 1970s, 1980s, and beyond. Throughout his career, Tutty has collaborated with many of Brazil's finest artists, including his wife and sister, as well as notable jazz musicians. Based in Rio de Janeiro, he continues to record as one of Brazil's premier percussionists. Tutty is married to singer/songwriter Joyce, whose band he plays in. They have a daughter who is also a singer, and Joyce has another daughter, known as (aka), who is married to a prominent figure in the music scene.
