TV Victor, whose real name is Heitfeld, began playing guitar at the age of four and studied piano before being influenced by experimental electronic music in the 1970s. In the early 1980s, he moved to Berlin, where he became an essential part of various projects within the city's underground art scenes. One of the most notable was the No Zen Orchestra, known for its heavily rhythmic and hypnotic Ethno-oriented sound, which released a CD in 1988 via Tresor's parent label, Interfisch. Heitfeld's first solo productions began in 1990 under the pseudonym TV Victor, with his debut album "Moondance" released by Interfisch. This album showcased experimental music with classic pop structures and marked his shift towards more ambient directions.
