Linda and Ellen Kahn, identical twins known as TwinArt, are artists, performers, and curators who began experimenting with video and film in their late 20s in New York City. They found a mentor and collaborated with various artists, and in 1982, they started digital painting on the first Quantel Paintbox at Broadway Video. Their innovative work caught the attention of MTV, Cable, and Broadcast Networks, leading them to develop careers as creative directors in the entertainment industry. As pioneers in digital media, they have received a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship grant in Visual Arts and an Emmy award. Their work has been exhibited internationally in prestigious museums and galleries, including The Whitney, The Met, Laguna Art Museum, Pompidou Centre, ICA London, Tokyo Video Biennial, and Nassau County Museum of Art. In 2022, archival record label Modern Harmonic released the compilation "TwinArt Presents: Instant This / Instant That."
