Tyrone Davis was an American soul, R&B, and blues singer born on May 4, 1938, in Greenville, Mississippi, U.S.A. He passed away on February 9, 2005, in Hinsdale, Illinois, U.S.A., due to complications from a stroke. Throughout his prolific career, Davis recorded over 25 studio albums and achieved three No. 1 R&B hits on the Billboard chart: "Can I Change My Mind" (1968), "Turn Back The Hands Of Time" (1970), and "Turning Point" (1975). He was initially discovered and signed in 1968, releasing more than 25 singles, most of which were produced by various producers. In the mid-1970s, he switched to another label where he recorded seven albums produced by different individuals. He was signed to yet another label in 1982 and again in 1996. Additionally, he was the brother of Jean Davis, known from "Facts Of Life."
