Ultimate Spinach was an American psychedelic rock band hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, active from 1967 to 1969. The band featured a diverse lineup, including Ian Bruce-Douglas, who contributed lead vocals, electric piano, organ, vibraphone, lead guitar, and recorder from 1967 to 1968. Barbara Jean Hudson provided vocals and played acoustic guitar from 1967 to 1969. Ted Myers took on lead vocals and lead guitar in 1967 and again in 1969. Jeff Baxter joined the group as lead guitar, steel guitar, vibraphone, and vocals from 1968 to 1969, while Tony Scheuren played organ, piano, acoustic guitar, and provided vocals during the same period. Mike Levine was the bassist from 1968 to 1969, and Russell Levine played drums and percussion from 1968 to 1969. Richard Nese contributed both acoustic and electric bass, as well as feedback, from 1967 to 1968, and Geoffrey Winthrop played rhythm guitar from 1967 to 1968. Keith Lahteinen was involved as a drummer, percussionist, and vocalist in 1967.
