Ultra Violent was formed in January 1982 in Hebden Bridge from the remnants of two bands, Delinquent and Dreaded Cult. They recorded their first demo tape in April 1982 at a small studio in Halifax, followed by a second demo in Rochdale, which led to a deal with Riot City Records. The band performed approximately 20 gigs across various locations, including Manchester, Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield, Keighley, Burnley, Rochdale, and Hebden Bridge.
