Ummagma is a Canadian-Ukrainian band formed in Moscow in 2003. The name is derived from Pink Floyd's fourth studio album, Ummagumma, and is pronounced Ah-magma. Their music is an ethereal blend of dreampop, bliss rock, shoegaze, and electronica, characterized by rich positive soundscapes that combine resonance, beats, and rhythm, complemented by delicate female vocals and more grounded male vocals. The band has collaborated with various artists and has achieved notable recognition, winning the Alternative Eurovision hosted by Britain's Amazing Radio in 2013, representing 21 countries. They also received two Independent Music Video Awards for their song "Human Factor" in Australia, including Best International Pop Video. In 2014, Ummagma won another Alternative Eurovision hosted by Britain's Pure 107.8 FM and again received two Independent Music Video Awards. The members of Ummagma contribute to the project through vocals, lyrics, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion, and programming.
