Underground Lovers is an Australian alternative rock band known for their influence in the country's alternative scene during the 1990s, despite limited commercial success. The band has undergone numerous lineup changes since its formation. Several members have connections to the film industry, including a film director, a sound designer for film and TV, and an animator. The current lineup includes Glenn Bennie on guitar and vocals, Vincent Giarrusso on vocals, guitar, and keyboard, Philippa Nihill on vocals, guitar, and keyboard, Maurice Argiro on bass guitar, and Emma Bortignon on bass and keyboard. Richard Andrew, who played drums, was part of the band until his passing in October 2024. The members have been part of the band in various capacities since its inception in 1988, with reunions occurring in 2009.
