Unit Moebius is a pioneering force in Europe's industrial techno and planet rock scene, often regarded as the true answer to Underground Resistance. The group has evolved from its roots in deep, alienating lo-fi acid house and rigid jack trax—drawing inspiration from the best of Detroit and Chicago styles—into a sound characterized by hard-pounding dark industrial techno, freaky techno funk pop, and minimalistic machine music. Their raw and primitive production is notable, with the first seven albums recorded on a nearly-broken cassette recorder, which was their only available equipment. Unit Moebius is known for its diverse musical styles while maintaining a distinct twisted, paranoid, and intense drive, delivering a bad sweaty groove that feels like a mindfuck. The members of the group include Menno van Os, Guy Tavares, Jan Duivenvoorden, and Ferenc E. van der Sluijs.
