Universal Robot Band is a musical project formed by the collaboration of Greg Carmichael, Patrick Adams, and Leroy Burgess, known for their exceptional recordings, including the iconic track "Barely Breakin' Even," which inspired the name of a notable British reissue label. The band consisted of members Woody Cunningham (vocals/drums), an unnamed vocalist/guitarist, another unnamed vocalist/percussionist, and Norman Durham (vocals/bass/keyboards). In 1976, they accepted an offer to become a studio group, transitioning from their previous identity as the rock band Pipeline. They toured and recorded as the Universal Robot Band for two years before eventually rebranding themselves as Kleeer.
