Unnatural Funk Band is a musical group led by Jerald “Bump” Scott, formed a few years after their 1970 session at Damon Studios in Kansas City. Responding to the unconventional naming trends of their time, they adopted the name Unnatural Funk Band. After struggling to secure a record label for their song "I Can Remember," they ventured into Independence, Missouri, to record at the renowned Cavern Studios, which is uniquely situated within a limestone fissure.
