Upp was a British funk-rock-jazz fusion band active in the mid-1970s. The band, often spelled in capitals, consisted of Stephen Fields (also known as Stephen Amazing) on bass guitar, Andy Clark on keyboards, and Jim Copley on drums. David Bunce joined the group on guitar for their second album. Upp was signed to CBS in 1974, and their debut album, "Upp," was released in 1975. The album was produced by Jeff Beck, who also played guitar on it, although his contributions were not mentioned in the liner notes. The following year, Upp released their second album, "This Way Upp," which Beck again produced and contributed guitar solos to tracks like "Dance Your Troubles Away" and "Don't Want Nothing To Change." This album was recorded at CBS Studios in London. Notably, the group's track "Give It To You" features one of the most popular breakbeats of all time.
