Vaclav Zahradnik was a Czech big band leader, conductor, arranger, and composer, born on January 29, 1942, in Prague (then Czechoslovakia). He passed away on June 28, 2001, in Prague, Czech Republic. Zahradnik led his own orchestras from 1968 to 1973 and served as the chief conductor of the Czechoslovak TV Orchestra from 1973 to 1990. He was also the father of two children.
