Vainica Doble was a highly influential female folk duo formed by Carmen Santonja (1934-2000) and Gloria Van Aerssen (1932-2015). Active primarily between 1970 and 1984, they blended folk with progressive rock, characterized by naive lyrics and supported by fantastic backing musicians such as Pepe Nieto, Aguaviva, Tickets (future Asfalto), Jose María Guzmán, Gualberto, Carlos Cárcamo, Javier Bergia, el Reverendo, el Gran Wyoming, Emilio Cao, Alejandro Sanz, Miguel Bosé, and Paco Clavel.
