Valentina Magaletti is a multi-genre Italo-British drummer, percussionist, and composer based in London, UK. She has collaborated and performed with notable artists and projects, including Raime, Nicolas Jaar, Jandek, Helm, Malcolm Catto, Charles Hayward, Bat for Lashes, Gruff Rhys, Can Project, and Philip Selway. Her musical influences span Ikue Mori, Georgia Hubley, Jaki Liebezeit, Milford Graves, Elvin Jones, Tony Buck, Charles Hayward, Billy Higgins, Han Bennink, and Art Blakey. Valentina was one half of the duo Tomaga alongside bassist Tom Relleen and is a member of the experimental pop quartet Vanishing Twin and the supergroup UUUU, which includes Graham Lewis and Thighpaulsandra. In 2017, she played drums for Irmin Schmidt's The Can Project, featuring Thurston Moore, Steven Shelley, Deb Googe, and Malcolm Mooney. She released her first album as CZN (Copper, Zinc and Nickel) with Joăo Pais Filipe in 2018 and followed with a collaboration with Julian Sartorius titled Sulla Pelle in 2019. Currently, she is the other half of Holy Tongue with producer Al Wotton and continues to produce music under her solo name and Due Matte. Valentina's work has been released on various labels, including Editions Mego, Trilogy Tapes, and Fire Records, among others
