Vanishing Life is an American rock band that was formed in 2014 during the Groezrock hardcore punk festival in Belgium. The band quickly evolved from conversation to a fully realized musical group, driven by Autry Fulbright II, known for his work with …And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead. The lineup includes notable musicians such as Walter Schreifels from Quicksand, Jaime Miller, the drummer for Bad Religion, and Zach Blair from Rise Against, who joined during the Fun Fun Fun Fest. Their debut LP, Surveillance, showcases a big, loud, and intricate sound that draws inspiration from bands like The Fall, Black Flag, Savages, Angel Olsen, The Damned, Grinderman, B’last, and early-Wire, all while maintaining a modern focus rather than leaning into nostalgia.
