VED is a musical project that began as a solo endeavor by Mattias Nihlén, drawing inspiration from film music, progressive rock, electronic music, and folk music. Over time, VED has evolved into a fully developed live band that performs instrumental rock music, occasionally incorporating vocals. The current lineup includes Mattias Nihlén, Alexander Uno Karlsson, Adam Vilgot Persson, and David Hagberg.
