Vernal Equinox is an Ontario-based electronic duo consisting of Steven J. Brenner and Timothy Rempel. They met while working at Sherwood Music, a keyboard shop in the '80s, where they utilized their employee discounts to build an impressive collection of synthesizers for their home studio, Sync Studios, located in Steven's basement. The studio was equipped with cutting-edge instruments of the time, including DX7s, Juno and Jupiter synthesizers, and various Roland drum machines, from the 606 to the 909. Over the course of a year, the duo took turns composing and sequencing their album, A New Found World, which is characterized by its eclectic blend of New Age, Dance, Berlin School, and Fourth World influences.
