Vice Squad is a prominent UK punk rock band that emerged in 1980 with their debut single, the iconic ‘Last Rockers’ 7”. They followed this with significant albums such as ‘No Cause For Concern’ (1981) and ‘Stand Strong Stand Proud’ (1982), both released under EMI. Known for their short, impactful songs that blend incisive political commentary with humor, Vice Squad has maintained a powerful sound characterized by thunderous rhythms and sharp rock ’n’ roll guitars. Since becoming fully DIY in 2009 by launching Last Rockers Records, the band has recorded albums in their home studio in South London, including their latest release, ‘Punk Rockers: The Best of Vice Squad’, which showcases their full artistic control and is distributed globally by Cargo. Despite the challenges posed by the lockdown, Vice Squad continued to create, producing acoustic versions of earlier songs on the 'Vice-O-Lation' EPs, highlighting Beki Bondage's dynamic vocals and Rooney's instrumental prowess. Recent notable releases include the EP ‘It’s Too Late To Be Normal’, a re-release of their 1999 album ‘Get A Life’ on colored vinyl, and Beki’s solo project ‘The Unbereaved’.
