Vicky Leandros is a renowned musician with international roots, feeling at home not only in Germany and her birthplace Greece but around the world. She gained fame in 1972 when she won the “Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson” for Luxembourg with her song “Après toi.” Over her career, Vicky has released more than 400 albums in over 50 countries, making her the most successful German-speaking artist of all time, with over 55 million records sold. Her success spans across various countries, including Japan, the USA, Canada, South Africa, Holland, Belgium, France, and England. Vicky Leandros is known for her willingness to explore different musical genres, and she showcased her talent in the successful TV show "The Masked Singer" (ProSieben), where she reached the semifinals in 2020. Throughout her career, she has received multiple accolades, including over 80 gold and platinum records. In 2015, she was honored with the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for her social commitment. Additionally, she has been politically active as the Vice Mayor and Councillor for Culture and International Relations in Piraeus. Vicky Leandros has three children and grandchildren and divides her time between Berlin, Hamburg, and Greece. She is the daughter of a musician who introduced her to the music business.
