Vijaya Anand was an Indian film score composer born in 1952. He began his career in 1982, scoring movies in Kannada, Tamil, and Telugu languages. Anand collaborated with Jude Mathew and Dilip, forming a duo known for numerous soundtracks. After their split in 1992, Mathew continued to use the name Vijayanand, while Dilip became known as A R Rahman. Vijaya Anand passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 71 in Chennai.
