Vincent Geminiani, born in Paris in 1939 to a sculptor father and a musician mother, was drawn to both sculpture and music from an early age. Discouraged from pursuing sculpture by his father, he studied at the Paris Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique and embarked on a career as a composer and performer. In 1959, he formed the 'Percussions de Paris' ensemble, touring Europe and beyond until the 1980s. Despite his musical focus, sculpture remained a vital part of his artistic development, and he utilized his talents to invent various percussion instruments, including the Bronte, a unique musical instrument made of nickel silver. The Bronte, which can be played with a bow or hammers, produces a wide range of sounds and has garnered interest from many composers, featuring in works such as 'L'éloge de la folie', 'Nana' by M. Constant, 'Concordances' and 'Erzebeth' by C. Chaynes, and 'Interferences' by J. Castered, as well as in film soundtracks by C. Bolling, V. Cosma, M. Legrand, and Y. Prin. Geminiani's works, particularly those titled 'L'Oiseau sans pied', were composed for the Comédie Française's adaptation of Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' at the first Châteauvallon theatre festival in 1970, under the direction
