**Virgin Prunes Bio** Formed in mid-1977 in Dublin, the Virgin Prunes were known for their outrageous stage performances and unique collection of record releases, earning a reputation as one of the most subversive rock groups of their time. The band's lineup included singers Gavin Friday and Guggi, along with a third vocalist, guitarist, bassist, and drummer. They released their first single in 1981, with Pod initially on drums, who was later replaced by another drummer. In 1981, they released the first three parts of the 'A New Form Of Beauty' series, followed by their debut album '...If I Die, I Die' and the 'Hérésie' album in 1982. The final musical part of 'A New Form Of Beauty' was released on cassette that year. In 1984, Guggi and Dik departed from the band and the music business. Mary D'Nellon took over guitar duties, and Pod returned as the drummer. The band began recording an album titled Sons Find Devils, which was never released, but the title was later used for a retrospective video in 1985. That year also saw the release of a compilation album of rarities, 'Over the Rainbow.' The band continued as a four-piece and released a new album, 'The Moon Looked Down and Laughed,' in the summer of 1986. Gavin Friday left the group in November 1986 to pursue a solo career,
