Voices of East Harlem was an American Gospel/Soul vocal group formed in 1969 in New York City. The group originated from an inner-city action project in East Harlem, initiated by a local Pop Warner football coach and the founder of the East Harlem Federation Youth Association (EHFYA). Together with his wife, they established the ensemble to perform at colleges and local benefits. The group often consisted of around 20 members, with ages ranging from 12 to 21. Throughout their career, they worked with various producers on their albums.
