Void Vision is an electronic project based in Philadelphia, led by Shari Vari. Established in 2009 during the rise of synth-revivalists, the project distinguishes itself with its exceptional songwriting and intense vocals. Void Vision blends vintage dance elements with melodic structures and haunting lyrics that convey deep emotion. The music is dynamic, drawing from 30 years of electronic influences while maintaining a distinct identity. The project gained momentum at the Wierd Records weekly club night in New York, which showcased various electronic and coldwave artists. After a notable debut performance, Void Vision caught the attention of Blind Prophet Records, leading to the release of their first 7" single, "In 20 Years," which received positive reviews. Over the years, Vari has consistently performed and recorded, contributing to compilations for several labels, including Rough Trade. In 2012, the track "Everything is Fine" was featured in Artforum magazine’s "Best of 2012" issue. In 2013, Void Vision toured the West Coast and released a split 12" with the Portland-based band Vice Device later that year. The project's first full-length album, "Sub Rosa," was set to debut on Berlin-based Mannequin Records, followed by a European tour in 2015. Originally formed as a duo amid the burgeoning minimal synth and cold wave scene in the United States, Void Vision shared the stage with Wierd Records artists like Led Er Est and Xeno & Oaklander.
