Vulcans was a production team that emerged in 1972, aiming to capitalize on popular trends such as Star Trek and the rise of electronic easy listening music, particularly the "Switched On..." Moog-based albums. They sought to merge these elements with familiar reggae rhythms, hoping to achieve commercial success. The team, consisting of unnamed members, enlisted the talents of a former member of the progressive/psych rock band Second Hand, who brought along his ARP2600 synthesizer. Despite their efforts, their album failed to resonate with audiences. In 1973, they released a follow-up album titled "Interstellar Reggae Drive," credited to Colonel Elliot and the Lunatics.
