Wajatta is a techno group formed by beat-boxer, comedian, and musician Greg Edwards and electronic music artist, DJ, and producer John Tejada. The name Wajatta is a combination of their last names, reflecting their shared musical influences. Both artists have roots in urban electronic music, with Tejada being Austrian-born and Watts German-born. The group began its catalog in December 2017 with the digital release of their first single, "Runnin’." Their full-length album was digitally released on May 11, 2018, followed by a double vinyl edition in June.
