**Wallace Collection Bio** Formed in 1968 in Belgium, Wallace Collection emerged from the remnants of the group Sylvester's Team. Three original members went on to create the band 16th Century, collaborating with bass-player and classical musicians from the Belgian National Philharmonic Orchestra, who had previously been involved in a band called Stradivarius. The most notable future for the ex-members of Wallace Collection belongs to Freddy Nieuland, who achieved significant success with numerous hits and produced a wide array of Belgian records. As of 2001, Wallace Collection remained relevant, with their hit "Daydream" becoming a global standard, covered by various artists including a mellow version in 2001 and notable renditions by the Beta Band. The band disbanded in 1971 and consisted of members Sylvain Vanholme (guitar), Freddy Nieuland (drums, vocals), Marc Hérouet (organ, keyboards), Christian Janssen (bass), Raymond Vincent (violin), and Jacques Namotte (cello). Tragically, member Freddy Nieuland, known for his vocals on "Daydream," passed away at the age of 63 on January 11, 2008. It is important to note that Wallace Collection should not be confused with an internationally acclaimed brass group established by another entity.
