Walt Barr was a guitarist and vocalist born in 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He grew up on Ferndale St. in Northeast Philadelphia and toured with notable bands of fame. His interest in the guitar began at age 11 when he played rock n' roll with friends, later discovering jazz and studying under the guidance of a great mentor. In 1976, he moved to Los Angeles and recorded three albums for a record label during the late 70s and early 80s, which have been sampled by popular beatmakers. Walt Barr passed away in 1999 from liver cancer.
