Wavemaker is a pioneering synthesizer and instrumental duo based in London, active in the mid-1970s. The duo consists of John Lewis, a Bachelor of Music and composer who studied advanced composition with Hans Werner Henze in Rome, and Brian Hodgson, who spent ten years at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and is known for his pioneering work in synthesizer techniques. Their studio, Electrophon, located on the edge of London's Covent Garden, featured a unique combination of custom-designed synthesizer modules.
