Wayne Kounty is a band led by Kenny Flav, a Detroit super-producer with roots in Schoolcraft. He began his career working as a ghostwriter for techno pioneers Juan Atkins, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, and Roger Sanchez alongside Anthony "Shake" Shakir. After producing around twelve house albums, Kenny Flav relocated to New York City to explore the Hip-Hop and R&B genres. He has since produced tracks for over seven platinum records, received two Grammy nominations, and collaborated with artists such as Mary J. Blige and Busta Rhymes. Currently, Flav is focused on the debut Wayne Kounty album, set to be released in early 2004 through Premier Cru.
