Weezer is a rock band formed in 1992 in Los Angeles, California. The current lineup includes Rivers Cuomo on lead vocals, lead guitar, and keys; Patrick Wilson on drums, percussion, and backing vocals; Brian Bell on rhythm and lead guitar, backing vocals, and keys; and Scott Shriner on bass, backing vocals, and keys. The band has seen several former members, including Jason Cropper, who played rhythm guitar from 1992 to 1993, Matt Sharp, who was the bassist from 1992 to 1998, and Mikey Welsh, who played bass from 1998 to 2001.
