The West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band was an American psychedelic rock band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1965. The group consisted of three well-heeled teenagers—brothers Dan and Shaun Harris and their schoolmate Michael Lloyd—alongside a wealthier, thirty-something attorney named Bob Markley. Markley helped secure a recording deal with Reprise Records, leading to the creation of a series of unusual records. Although the band did not achieve commercial hits, their most notable composition was "Smell Of Incense," which was later covered by several artists. The song was co-written by Markley and guitarist Ron Morgan, who joined the band later and went on to play with The Electric Prunes and an early edition of Three Dog Night. The band disbanded in 1969 after releasing their last album.
