Westbound Freeway was a soul group from Ohio that emerged in the 1970s, fronted by guitarist Damon "Skip" Chavis. The band toured both locally and nationally, achieving regional success with their 45 single. Tragically, Damon Chavis passed away on July 17, 2010, due to complications from lung cancer.
