Willie Brown was a legendary Delta blues singer and guitarist, born on August 6, 1900, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He passed away on December 30, 1952, in Tunca, Mississippi. Brown is best known for his recordings of "Future Blues" and "M&O Blues," which he recorded for Paramount in 1930. He often played as a second guitarist for other artists and can be heard on recordings by various musicians. Notably, he is not the same William Brown who recorded "Ragged And Dirty" and "Mississippi Blues" for Lomax in 1942, as reported in "Chasin' That Devil's Music, Searching for the Blues."
