Willie Salcedo, also known as Willy Salsero, was a Colombian percussionist born in 1952 in Corozal, Sucre, Colombia. He passed away on November 12, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19. Willie, who adopted his stage name during childhood, was the son of conductor Ortega, who created the music for "La Pollera Colorá." Throughout his career, he was part of several musical groups.
