Willie Wilson

Willie Wilson, born on July 8, 1947, in England, began his musical career at the age of 16 as a member of the Cambridge-based band The Swinging Vibros, performing alongside Nick Barraclough, Brian Carling, and John Anderson. In 1966, he joined a band after Gilmour's departure. Wilson was a friend of Syd Barrett and contributed to Barrett's first two albums, A Madcap Laughs and Barrett. He also played on David Gilmour's solo debut album. Wilson's collaboration with Pink Floyd was linked to The Wall project, where he served as the drummer for the "surrogate band" that performed the opening song "In The Flesh?" and recorded the drums for the film versions of the songs.
