Willis Jackson, born on April 25, 1932, in Miami, Florida, was an American jazz and rhythm and blues tenor saxophonist. He was known for his collaborations with various artists, including the singer to whom he was married. Jackson, who earned the nicknames "Gator" or "Gator Tail," passed away on October 25, 1987, in New York City, New York.
