Winston Groovy, born in 1946 in the Waltham Park Road area of Kingston, Jamaica, is a reggae singer who was mainly active from the 1960s to the 1980s. In 1961, he moved to Birmingham, England, to join his father and later relocated to London in 1969. In London, he began working with producer Laurel Aitken and adopted the stage name Winston Groovy, also known as Winston Gruvy.
